  • Name of film - 'About Time' - references to the negative aspect of dating. The font is also lowercase which is commonly associated with romantic comedies
  • Taglines - 'what if every moment in life came with a second chance?'. This suggests that the protagonists had a second chance to fall in love which is a main theme in romantic comedies
  • Names of stars - they have experience with romantic comedy films - Rachel McAdams stars in The Notebook
  • Production company logos - Working Title Films and Universal Pictures have collabed multiple times when producing romantic comedies such as 'Love Actually', 'Notting Hill'
  • Dominant central image of protagonists in love as well as laughing which also adds to the comedy aspect of the genre
  • Costumes symbolise love - red dress - red symbolises love
  • Name of writer with reference to previous films - the writer has written other romantic comedy films e.g., 'Love Actually', 'Notting Hill' and 'Four Weddings', so he is familiar and experienced with the genre
