Analysing Taglines for Romantic Comedy Films

After doing much research for my film marketing campaign, I have identified that posters and trailers usually include taglines which are relevant to the genre and plot of the film. I will be analysing 15 existing romantic comedy taglines to see if there are frequently used techniques which I should include when deciding my own tagline. 

These are common features that appear in romantic comedy taglines:

• They all relate to the plot of the film
• They often ask a question to the audience e.g., Who's your perfect plus one?, What if every moment in life came with a second chance?, What if this guy got you pregnant?
• They often have multiple parts e.g., 100,000 daily flights around the world. 6 million travellers. One connection, All women keep score... only the great ones put it in writing, Imagine having to win over the girl of your dreams... every friggin' day, Rules can be broken... but so can hearts, The adventure is real. The heroes are not
• Often include references to one or both protagonists e.g., He's whoever you want him to be, All women keep score... Only the great ones put it in writing, He's the one she loves to hate, Sometimes you need a girl, to get the girl, What if this guy got you pregnant?, Imagine having to win over the girl of your dreams... every friggin day
