Rough Storyline For My Film

I am now going to give a rough storyline for my film after researching and analysing existing romantic comedy films.

My narrative begins by introducing both protagonists and their traits in the opening sequence and introducing the 'meet cute' (wedding). The female protagonist is going to be introduced as wealthy whereas the male protagonist is going to be introduced as lower class so that they differ. 

Both their families/friends pressure them to start dating others so they make an arrangement with each other to keep up with each other's lifestyles and pretend that they're dating so that their families will stop pressuring them, and they 'bet' not to fall in love.

We slowly start to see the protagonists fall in love and familiarise themselves with each others' lifestyles, however this turns out to be unsuccessful when a second love interest enters the female protagonist's life and the male protagonist encourages her to date him because they are better suited. They then seperate and we see the female protagonist try and form a relationship with the second love interest, however although they seem like soulmates they are in fact far from it. Simultaneously, we see the male protagonist return to his 'player' ways, however this doesn't seem to fulfil him the way it used to. This is known as 'the breakup' stage.

We then see all 3 characters attend the same event and the male protagonist sees the female protagonist and the second love interest having a conflict so he interferes due to his jealousy, which leads him to argue with the female protagonist. They then leave the event and question the male protagonist's actions and then confess their love for each other. We then see them mend their relationship and live happily ever after..
